Road Safety Competition

Road Safety Week 2018 is a week-long campaign taking place between the 19th and 25th of November. The message at the heart of this year’s campaign is ‘Bike Smart’, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of protecting those on two wheels by focusing on safe riding by cyclists, and encouraging motorists to drive safely and look out for those on two wheels.

As part of Road Safety Week 2018 Sustrans is inviting all pupils from different schools including St Vincent’s to enter the ‘Design a Banner competition’ to help raise awareness about road safety.

They are looking for bold, eye catching designs around the theme ‘Bike Smart’.

There are some great prizes on offer this year – The pupil behind the overall London winning design will receive a bike courtesy of Raleigh. Overall winners in each borough will get their banner printed for display outside of their school, whilst the top entries at every school will receive a Sustrans goodie bag filled with great prizes!

To take part in the competition all you need to do is create your design on A3 paper and speak to Miss Scelsi
