Queen for a day

As part of our work on the project, ‘How should a king rule his kingdom?’ children in UKS2 have been writing, practicing and performing speeches to their classes hoping to be voted king or queen for the day. The children thoroughly enjoyed this part of the project and the speeches were of excellent quality. The children really got into character, spoke clearly and confidently, and performed their speeches with passion!

In Beech Class, we had a queen ruling for the day. The morning began with her coronation and she spent the day working at the ‘Royal Table’, with the ‘Royal Resources’, making rules and rewarding her peers. It was lots of fun!
