Oak Class Assembly

Pupils sharing the mission of St Francis of Assisi

Oak class’ assembly today was about St Francis of Assisi and his love of all creatures. His feast day was 4th October and he is the Patron Saint of animals and the environment.

In our LKS2 project, we have been thinking about ‘Can we create a growth environment in the poly tunnel?’. As part of this learning, we have started reading ‘James and the Giant Peach’ by Roald Dahl and the adventures of all the wonderful creatures. We have also discussed how James is treated in the story and his rights under the UN Convention of the Rights of the child. We have lots to learn!

Thank you everyone for coming to our assembly today!
